Dress Sweatfree

With the end of New York Fashion week and the beginning of London Fashion Week, clothes are definitely on everyone’s mind and ethical clothing is hopefully next on the list. The Shop with a Conscience Guide produced annually by the International Labor Rights Forum and SweatFree Communities helps you be an ethical consumer with suggestions for a variety of clothing stores that sell goods that are made in worker-friendly environments.

As a broke-college kid who lives off ramen and PBJs, I know just how hard it can be to be an ethical consumer. Sure, I wish I could buy products that are produced in a labor-friendly environment, and are sustainable but my wallet doesn’t seem to agree with my ideals.  So here’s the compromise that I’ve come to. I’ve made a pledge to myself to buy one thing that’s been ethically produced (a pair of shoes) so that at least my feet can be sweat-free. What will you do? How will you be dressing sweat-free?
